I was wondering... does anyone have some good recommendations for books about anatomy for self-studies? Or other art books that are a "must read" in your opinion? I'd like to try some new stuff, beside drawing portraits, but there is still so much I have to learn. And since I don't have the opportunity to visit art classes (would love to though... sigh) I have to learn from books. I know that's no substitute for art classes, but it's better than nothing.
So... any suggestions or recs?

Skill is the destination. The only road to Skill is Practice. Talent is a horse, Materials, the fodder. Skill is attainable without Talent, but it is a long, hard walk. Skill is unattainable without Practice.
Unfortunately, I am nowhere near as good an artist as you are. If I were, I would draw a Ford Capri Mk. II, send it to you, and ask you to draw Doyle and Bodie in it.
